In addition to a very popular weekly Farmer’s Market and year-round volleyball tournaments, Hermosa Beach holds many events throughout the year to foster family and community fun. From July through September, Hermosa Beach residents can bring their picnic baskets and blankets to the beach and enjoy free summer concerts, and in August residents can hula and surf at the Aloha Days Surf Festival. The bi-annual Fiesta Hermosa attracts more than 120,000 visitors and is an exciting street fair that features award-winning arts and crafts, live entertainment with two sound stages, kiddy rides, a restaurant cantina, and a beer and wine garden. It is held each Labor and Memorial Day. Other holiday events that take place in Hermosa Beach include the South Bay St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, and the Christmas Tree Lighting on the Pier.
